MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I know it has been awhile since I have been on here.  Life has been busy.
Christmas was good, but very hard without my Mother.  Missing her sooo much.

She is buried at Ky Veteran's Memorial.  My Dad is a Korean War Vet & will be buried with her.

Thank you Mom, for giving me life.  I think God for the 40 yrs with her.
She was the best Mom that a girl could have.  Love & Miss you more everyday.

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas & I hope you have a wonderful New Year.

For Today, Oct 18, 2011.

Outside my window... Cool chilly morning.  This is my kind of weather.  Rain moving in though.
I am thinking... how peaceful it is in the mornings.  I love my mornings.

I am thankful for... my good smelling candles.   

From the kitchen... spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, & salad. 

From the learn room... Lots of homework.

I am wearing... Capri workout pants & t-shirt.  Taking a sick day today.  Not feeling very well.

I am creating...  Not creating, but searching for a really good, but different soup to make for Sat.

I am going... no where all day. 

I am reading... Just reading Debbie Mccomber book during my 1/2 hr lunch break at work.  

I am praying... that they find the missing 10 month of child from MO.  My heart goes out to her & her family.

Around the house... laundry.  House is already clean & smelling good.

One of my favorite things... the smell of fall.

A few plans for the rest of the week...  Zumba tonight, if I feel better.  Thurs- my girls have a cross country meet.  Fri- work & Zumba.  Sat- we are going to my DH's Aunts house for their annual Halloween party.  Kids are sooo excited.  Sun- Kids have Religious Ed class.  After that, church.  Later taking J-Bird to practice BMX riding.

For Today, Sept 13, 2011.

Outside my window... Sun has risen & it is going to be a hot one today, then a cold front moves in.
I am thinking... about how much I love the Fall season.  It is my favorite season.

I am thankful for... my kids teachers.  They are all wonderful this yr. 

From the kitchen... Turkey/gravy, mashed potatoes, and some kind of veggie. 

From the learn room... HOMEWORK!!!!

I am wearing... Yoga pants & BMX t-shirt.

I am creating...  Nothing right now.  Life is too hetic at the moment.

I am going... drop kids off to school & head into work.  Later ,I am going to my Zumba class.

I am reading... Just reading Debbie Mccomber book during my 1/2 hr lunch break at work.  

I am praying... that my husband has a successful week at work.  He is in VA this week.  :( 

Around the house... laundry & dishes.  

One of my favorite things... Warm days & cool evenings. 

A few plans for the rest of the week...  Today-work then Zumba later.  Wed-my day off, but J-Bird has to have a root canal done, later need to get this house in order.  Thurs-work, girls have Cross Country practice, I have Zumba, then J-Bird has cheer practice.  Fri-work & Zumba.  Sat-football game, BMX race & hubby comes home from VA.  Later that evening we have a adult b-day party to attend.  Sun-church & 1st day of Religion class for kids.

For Today, Aug 29, 2011.

Outside my window... still dark outside.  Going to be a beautiful day today.
I am thinking... of all the poor people who are cleaning up after Irene & who lost loved ones.

I am thankful for... that my BMX kid had a safe race this weekend, after being off for 7 wks due to a bad wreck, back in July.  

From the kitchen... today is fend for yourself day.  Busy day ahead of us all.  

From the learn room... kids all will have homework, I am sure.

I am wearing... shorts & t-shirt.  Need to get the work clothes on though.

I am creating... a menu for crockpot dinners.  With all the sports back in full swing & hubby not getting home until 6:30, I don't have time to cook.

I am going... drop kids off to school & head into work.  Later Big O & J-Bird have their 1st Cross Country practice, then dinner.  After that drop J-Bird off to tumbling & I am going to my Zumba class.

I am reading... Just reading Debbie Mccomber book during my 1/2 hr lunch break at work.  

I am praying... For my dad's old friend who lost her husband last week.    

Around the house... laundry...which is sooo overdue.  

One of my favorite things... relaxing on the front porch in the evenings.

A few plans for the rest of the week... J-Bird & Big O have their 1st Cross Country practice.  Me work.  Later J-Bird has tumbling practice & I have my Zumba class.  Tues work & Zumba.  Wed-my day off, but I need to get this house cleaned.  Thurs.-work, girls have Cross Country again, I have Zumba, & J-Bird has cheer practice.  Fri-work, Zumba.  Sat & Sun-BMX Kid is racing in the biggest race of the year.  Grand Nationals.  We will be there all weekend.  Mon-Labor Day...relaxing all day.  :)

A picture I would like to share with you...  Bmx Kid had a bike wreck.  I came home from work Friday to this.  Scared me so bad.  He ended up at the ER with 8 stitches.  Thank God that is all he had wrong.

Company girls-Back to school.

Grab that cuppa coffee, tea, soda, water, or whatever your drink of choice is this morning.  I am already on my 2nd cup of good coffee.


My babies started back to school Wed.  They were suppose to start Mon the 15th, but because of storms that hit our area...the school district closed down & they missed the first 2 days.  Now they have 2 days to make up & the winter season is no where in sight yet.  Oh well, here are a few pics of my babies.  :-)

All four of them had wonderful 1st day back.  They all came in telling me everything that went on that day & about their teachers.  Well, all but BMX Kid.  He just wanted to get on his bike & ride.  LOL.

My week consisted of work, Zumba workout, cleaning the house, laundry, filling out tons of paperwork for the new school year, & no relaxation what so ever.  Relaxing this weekend.

First day back to school---Not.

Our kids were suppose to start their first day of school today.  However they have cancelled the first day of classes due to quick but devasting storm that hit our area Sat.

This is what it looked like at a lot of places, but we were spared.  They cancelled because 40 school were without power.  Even though by Sunday afternoon only 3 were left without power, it was too dangerous for the buses.  There are tons of trees still blocking roadways & numerous lights out all over the city.

Our school district said this is the first time they have had to cancel school on the first day back..

Needless to say, my kids are soooo happy.  :)

For Today, Aug 8, 2011.

Outside my window... beautiful morning.  Last humid day for the week.  Temps going into the 80's this week.  Yay!!!
I am thinking... of the lives that were lost during the Afghan crash.  God Bless their souls.

I am thankful for... my DH making it home safely after being gone for 4 weeks.  

From the kitchen... muffins for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, & leftovers for dinner.  

From the learn room... nothing, kids go back to school next week.

I am wearing... shorts & t-shirt.

I am creating... organization for back to school.  Bought all the supplies, now just need to get the backpacks together.

I am going... no where during the day.  Off today & need to tackle laundry.  Later dropping J-Bird off to tumble class & I am going to my Zumba workout.

I am reading...Debbie Mcomber's, "Manning Grooms." & devotionals.  

I am praying... for a long time friend & her husband, who just found out he has cancer.    

Around the house... laundry, laundry, & more laundry.  

One of my favorite things... my kids birthday parties.

A few plans for the rest of the week... J-Bird has practice tonight & Thurs.  Zumba workout for me tonight, Tues, Thurs, & Fri.  Work, Tues-Fri.  Sat, J-Bird is cheering in the first football game of the season.  This is the last week of summer vacation for my kids.  School starts back next Monday.  Wish I would have taken this week off.  :(
