Our Christmas & Dec Birthdays

Today on Dec. 28th, God blessed me with a bundle of joy that has been & will always be, a true blessing into my life.  My J-Bird was born 9 yrs old today at 12:28 p.m.  Yes she was born on 12/28 @ 12:28.  I was having a scheduled C-section & the doc noticed the time right before he pulled her out & decided it would be neat to wait one more minute, so she could be officially be born at 12:28.  Pretty neat, huh???  We though so.

 J-Bird at her party.

J-Bird with her new BMX racing bike.  I think she is going to try out racing, like her brother.

Now onto what we did for Christmas.  We usually have an extremely busy Christmas, but this year there was a lot of sickness going around in our extended families.  :(

Thurs. Christmas eve, eve...we had a wonderful spread of food at work, then J-bird had a Christmas party with her cheerleading team.

Christmas Eve...DH & I stayed around the house by ourselves, while BMX kid went to his grandpa's from his moms side of the family.  My other 3 kiddos, went to their great grandma's from their dads side of the family.  They all got home in time for us to go to Christmas Eve Mass with mother.  It was very crowded & hot, but it was a beautiful service.  I wanted to attend the midnight Mass, but Christmas day is such a long day, that the kids would have been worn out.  After Mass BMX kid went to his moms & my other 3 went to their dads.  DH hubby & I went home & got ready for Santa.

Kids before Christmas Eve Mass.

Christmas Day...kids opened presents from us, Santa, & my hubby's dad & stepmom.  They were sooo excited.  Later my parents, sister/her hubby/son came over for Christmas breakfast.  This is the one meal, that I don't have to cook.  My BIL does the cooking.  Woo hoo.  We opened gifts then sat around and played Xbox Kincet's.  Talk about a workout.  I am soooo out of shape & addicted to this game.  LOL.  Hoping if I play this daily I will lose some weight.

Big O & BMX kid received new bikes.

J-Bird & the kincet's.

Bubba & his new laptob.  Santa knew he needed one for school.  :)

We were suppose to go to DH's sisters for Christmas with her family & DH's mother, but they all had the flu over there, so we passed & stayed home.

The day after Christmas...my DH had to get on a plane to go here...St. Croix Virgin Islands.  He is working at the Cruzan Rum plant for a couple of weeks.  Yes, I am so very jealous.  :(

We (the kids & I) were suppose to go to his dads side (extended family) Christmas party this day.  However, I woke up with a stomach bug & later that day, two of the kids had fever's.   Another child of mine came down with a fever on Mon.  We are now just getting back to normal today.  Fever's have broke, thank the Lord.

Well, this is about all that I have on our Christmas.  It was a very blessed time, even though we didn't get to see all of our family.  I am truly blessed to have a wonderful family.

Going to spend the rest of the week with the kiddos.  My company is on Holiday shutdown.  Yay.  We have dentist appointments tomorrow, then bowling after wards.  J-Bird is going with her dad on Thurs to spend the day with him for her b-day.  Friday, we are going to a friends to have a Christmas/UofL-UK party.  University of Louisville playing against University of Kentucky, is a HUGE thing here, in our neck of the woods.  Later Fri. another friend & her kids are coming to spend New Year's eve with my kids & I.  Both our hubby's are in the Virgin Islands together.  New Year's Day...Bubba is spending the day with his dad cause his b-day is the 30th.  His dad promised J-Bird some alone shopping time, so Bubba has to wait til Sat.  Later Sat., Bubba is having a few boys spend the night for his b-day here.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & got to spend time with their family & friends.  Happy New Year's.

God Bless.

My Daybook-Late

FOR TODAY...Thurs. Dec. 16, 2010

Outside my window...snow, ice, cold, & all around mess.

I am thinking...I like having another day off, but don't like the make up work that will be waiting tomorrow.

I am thankful for...My DH making it home from his job earlier than expected.  So thankful he is home for Christmas.

From the learning rooms...Not much this week.  Last week before Holiday break and they are on their 2nd snow day of this week.

From the kitchen...Getting ready to make bacon, eggs, & biscuits.  We are all stuck in from the ice storm we got last night, so I might as well make a yummy breakfast.

I am wearing...sweatpants & long sleeve shirt.

I am creating...Nothing right now.  Just enjoying the simple things of life, like staying indoors with my family.

I am going...Nowhere.  Ice everywhere.

I am reading...Debbie McComber's Ceder Cove Series.

I am hoping...That everyone stays safe on the icy roads today.  I'm hoping I don't have to go into work later.

I am hearing...the news on the TV & some cars, trying to drive.

Around the house...Wrapping presents.

One of my favorite things...Being snow in with my family & playing games or watching movies together w/ hot chocolate.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Not much left, because it is Thursday.  Nothing today or tomorrow.  Sat. taking girls shopping, clean the house, and maybe a bday party later in the evening.  Sun. my J-Bird is having a "girls only" bday party.  Her bday is not until the 28th, but this is the only day we could do it.  15 girls...Fun, fun!!!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...BMX kid-fell asleep watching a movie on his Ipod.  Still looks adorable, even at 13.  :)

Everyone have a blessed rest of the week.

Time Needs to Stand Still!!!

Just checking in to say "HI".  We have a lot going on right now, with the Christmas season & everyday life.

My DH took a day off yesterday, so he & I had could get almost all of the Christmas shopping finished.  Only have a few things left to purchase.  He heads out of town soon, on a job.  It will be hard to go through the month with Christmas cheer, without him here most of the time, but I will try my hardest, especially for my kids.  He will be home for Christmas though, thank God.  :)

J-Bird has been working hard with her routine for cheerleading competition, which is this Sat.  They had some problems Mon., with some girls not showing up & we found out they won't be competing on Sat.  But, all is going to work out, cause we have 4 girls to replace them & they already learned the routine.  Yay!!!

I'm hoping to blog more, after this week.  Hoping I get some cookies, candy, & bread made during the month.  I want to make some to give as gifts for some special people, in my life.  Hoping to get the rest of the decorations up (outside) tonight.  Need to get our Christmas pic printed & start mailing those out.  Lots to do this month.  The best thing is...I only work for  3 weeks & 1 day, until we are on shutdown & I will have 11 days off.  Woo hoo, can't wait.  Love being able to be off & home with the kids, during their Christmas break.  Planning on lots of family time, during that time off together.

Well, other then the above, not much else going on.  Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving, as I did.  Love sharing the day with family.

Have a wonderful day & rest of the week.
