MY DAYBOOK

FOR TODAY...Monday, Oct. 25, 2010

Outside my window...  A cloudy & rainy day.  Thank God.  We have been suffering from a drought since the middle of the summer.  The birds are chirping & loving this much need rain. 

I am thinking...  of all the stuff I need to get done today.  :(

I am thankful for...  the rain and my DH finally home from all his traveling the last 5 weeks.

From the learning rooms...  Monday homework

From the kitchen...  Need to clean it before I cook dinner.  I think we are going to have Smoked Sausage w/ mashed potatoes & green beans.  Love home cooked meals.  :)

I am wearing...   Nylon pants, t-shirt, & tennis shoes.  Getting ready to turn on my country music & start cleaning.

I am creating...  A CLEAN HOUSE.

I am going...  to pick up my DH from work at 11:30, then we are going out for lunch (just the two of us), later J-Bird has private tumbling class & then competition practice for cheer.

I am reading...  Nothing right now.  Too busy.

I am hoping...  To get some of my chores done today.  Have to get off this laptop first though.  Hee Hee.  Also hoping after this week, I will get to blog more often.  Only doing my Day books, are kind of boring.

I am hearing...  the birds chirping, rain drops hitting the leaves/tress.  Love having the windows open.

Around the house...  Lots of cleaning & laundry.  Need to get this house in order, before Halloween.  Company is coming next Sunday.

One of my favorite things...  leaves falling from the tree.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Not too much.  Today lunch with DH, then tumbling & cheer for J-Bird.  Tues- J-bird has tumbling again.  Wed-2 of the kids go to Rel. Ed class.  Thurs & Fri-nothing planned, yet.  Sat-I would like to take the kids to Huber's Family Farm.  Sun-HALLOWEEN!!  My in-laws are coming for chili then girls are going trick n treating around the neighborhood with me & their grandma.  Hubby is staying home with BMX kid, to give out candy & scare kids.  Bubba is going to a Nascar race with his dad.  After the girls go through our neighborhood, I need to take them to other grandparents neighborhoods.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...  Annual Family Halloween party in the country.  Went this past Sat.  Great time.

FOR TODAY: Monday, Oct 11, 2010

Outside my window...  Still dark out.  Kinda of chilly this morning.  Love Fall mornings.

I am thinking...  that my DH has to be wore out from this weekend.  He came home from working all week in TN, we went camping in IN, came home Sun. rushing around all day, then left again for TN. Sunday night.  Poor man works so hard for his family.  Love that guy!!!

I am thankful for...  my DH making it back to TN safe & sound.

From the learning rooms...  Homework & studying

From the kitchen...  Breakfast is whatever the kids want.  Lunch-sandwiches.  Dinner-haven't figured it out yet.  Will work on that after this.

I am wearing...  Nylon carpi's, t-shirt, & my warm robe.

I am creating...  A clean house.  It is a mess right now.

I am going...  No where except to take the kids to school, then pick them up later.  Oh, and to J-bird's cheer practice later tonight.

I am reading...  Nothing right now.  No time for it.  :(

I am hoping...  That my back holds up long enough to get this mess of a house cleaned today.  Slept in a tent all weekend, so my back is hurting.

I am hearing...  My son walking around upstairs, getting ready for school & the news on the TV.

Around the house...  Soooo much cleaning to do today, after being gone all weekend.

One of my favorite things...  sitting by the campfire at night with my family & friends.

A few plans for the rest of the week...  J-bird has cheer practice tonight.  Tues-J-bird has private tumbling lessons, then team tumbling practice.  Wed-Bubba & Big O have Rel. Ed classes and BMX Kid has a baseball game.  Thurs.-nothing plan yet.  Fri.-DH hubby comes back home.  Dinner out with the kids.  Sat.-J-bird has to cheer at her last season football game and it is also Homecoming too.  Also taking 3 of the kids to Halloween at the Zoo, while BMX kid goes with hubby to his race.  Sun.-J-bird has her Rel. Ed class in the morning, then we have church.  DH heads back out of town after church.  He is heading to St. Louis.  He has to leave early cause he works 3rd shift next week.  After next week, he traveling is over for awhile, I hope. 

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...  Just a few of the friends we went camping with.  I believe there were actually over 60 of us camping.  They were getting ready for a corn hole tourney.

FOR TODAY...  September 27, 2010

Outside my window... It is crisp cool 53 degrees this morning & I am loving it.  Wind is blowing the leaves all around.  Finally going to get some much needed rain today.  Perfect fall weather. 

I am thinking...  About my DH traveling again this morning.  On his way to TN.

I am thankful for...  My DH getting home this weekend, even if it was only for 24 hours.  Got to spend some wonderful family time with him & the kids, yesterday.  Love that Man!!!

From the learning rooms...homework, homework, & homework.

From the kitchen...  Easy night tonight, hot dogs, veggies, & Pasta Roni.  Just me & the kiddos this week.

I am wearing... knit capri pants & t-shirt.  Gotta clean today. 

I am creating... a clean house.  Way over due.

I am going...  to the Mall, after I drop the girls off to school.  They are having a huge end of summer sale.  Going to stock up on next summer clothes.  Later after dinner, J-Bird has cheer practice.

I am reading...  Debbie McComber's Cedar Cove Series, in my car on my lunch breaks. 

I am praying...  That my DH has a safe trip to TN today & has a safe/good work week.

I am hearing... The humming of the computer & the Early Show.

Around the house... Need to do some major cleaning & get some laundry done.

One of my favorite things... is watching my 2 girls playing with each other on the porch, sharing & getting along.  Love those moments.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Jbird has cheer practice tonight.  Tues-Jbird has tumbling for cheer.  Wed-Religious Ed classes.  Thurs-nothing planned as of now.  Fri-Kids are out of school, planning on a trip to the zoo (if my boss lets me take a vac. day).  Also Fri., DH comes home for the weekend.  Sat.-JBird cheers at a football game, then we need to get things ready for camping next weekend.  Sun-JBird has Rel Ed class, church, lunch out, BMX Kid-baseball game, & finally JBird has competition practice.  DH heads out to TN again Sun. night.  :(

FOR TODAY...  Monday, Sept. 20, 2010

Outside my window...  Dark & quiet still.  It is 6:21 a.m. & the business of the day is getting ready to start.

I am thinking...  About my cousin Steve, who is having a kidney removed today, because he has kidney cancer & the tumor is now bigger then his kidney's.  This will be a tough surgery because he also has a very weak heart.  Please keep my family in your prayers.

I am thankful for...  My DH making it to St. Louis safe & sound.  He will be gone until Sat. afternoon.  Please watch over my honey, dear God.

From the learning rooms...  the usual, homework.

From the kitchen...  Breakfast will be waffles, lunch will be a sandwiches, and dinner is lasagna with garlic bread sticks & a salad.  Yummy.

I am wearing...  Knit capri pants & t-shirt.

I am creating...  A workout scheduled.  Gotta get serious & moving.

I am going...  Not too many places.  Just taking kids to school, then to the store, pick kids back up from school & later to practices.  Ok, so maybe that is quite a few places.

I am reading...  Same ol' stuff.  Blogs & Debbie McComber's Cedar Cove Series.

I am hoping...  That my DH has a safe & good work week in St. Louis.  And that my cousins surgery is successful.

I am hearing...  The humming of the computer & the TV in the background.

Around the house...  Need to do my weekly cleaning & some laundry.

One of my favorite things...  Fall time.  Love the smell of leaves turning, love the quietness & crispness/coolness of the mornings.  Love watching the sun come down in the cooler evenings, sitting outside. 

A few plans for the rest of the week...  Homework & dinner (at home) every night.  Tonight, J-Bird has cheer practice & BMX Kid has baseball practice.  Tuesday, J-Bird has tumbling practice for cheer.  Wed, Bubba & Big O have Religious Ed classes (J-Bird goes on Sundays) & BMX Kid has a baseball game.  Thurs. J-Bird has competition practice.  Friday, is family time.  Saturday, J-Bird has to cheer at a football game & BMX Kid will probably have a race that evening.  Sunday, church, lunch, baseball game, & later J-Bird has competition practice.
Wow, I am tired now, after typing all that we have to do this week.  Sept. & Oct are busy months for two of the kids with sports, but they love it. 

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...  Sending lots of prayer request to our Lord today for loved ones.  Please Dear God, watch over all of them.

FOR TODAY...  Monday Sept, 13, 2010

Outside my window...  The sun is rising and it is going to be a beautiful.  The business of the morning in happening outside my window.  I love mornings!!!

I am thinking...  About this statement I read this morning from, Tracie Miles. 
"Life is busy, but time is something we can never get back. We need to seize the moments in every season of our lives, and focus on how often we are giving that sweet, priceless gift of our time, ensuring that our best is given to God and the people that matter most."
This is so true and I want to try & live my this statement every day.

I am thankful for...  MY HUBBY.  He always helps out without me asking (most of the time).

From the learning rooms...  Homework.  I need to do some research on some Catholic teaching material to purchase, so I can begin my at home teaching for Rel. Ed. class.

From the kitchen...  Strawberry muffins for breakfast.  Boneless pork chops (just not sure how I am going to cook them yet), veggies & corn on the cob.  I am thinking of making a Apple Betty for dessert.

I am wearing...  Knit shorts & t-shirt.  Cleaning day.

I am creating...  Hopefully a clean house.  :)

I am going...  No where now.  Already took kids to school & have gone to the store but, I forgot something so I have to go back to the store.  Good thing it is just a couple of blocks away.  Also need to go pick up the kids from school, then after dinner, J-Bird has cheerleading pictures.

I am reading...  Debbie McComber's Cedar Cover Series and my devotionals.

I am hoping...  That I can motivate myself to start exercising.  Need motivation badly.

I am hearing...  The birds chirping & the TV.

Around the house...  cleaning & laundry.

One of my favorite things...  Listening to the birds, in the morning.

A few plans for the rest of the week...  Tonight, J-Bird cheer pics, Tues, work then J-Bird has tumbling practice.  We also have open house at their school.  Wed, BMX kid has baseball practice and we also have open house for Rel Ed classes.  Thurs & Fri. nothing but relaxation, after work.  Sat. J-Bird has to cheer at a game, other then that, nothing is planned so far.  Sunday, church & baseball game later.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...  Berheim Forest in KY.  This was taken last year.  Can't wait until the leaves change, so we can go again.  Afraid they won't look at pretty this year because of lack of rain.  :(

FOR TODAY:  Wed. Sept. 8, 2010

Outside my window...  It is still dark out & the quiet

I am thinking...  About the kid that raced in my son's BMX races this weekend, who is in the hospital because of a wreck.  His pancreas had to be removed & his spleen is messed up.  Prayers are going out to him & his family.  He was a rider from another state.

I am thankful for...  My wonderful DH.  He helped with dinner last night & cleaned the dishes before and after dinner.  He rocks!!!

From the learning rooms...  Homework, homework, & more homework.


From the kitchen...  Not sure yet.  Need to get to the store.  I think we may do hamburgers & hotdogs on the grill.  It is going to be a beautiful day out today.

I am wearing...  Nylon carpi jammies, t-shirt with my daughters cheer team, & sock with slippers. 

I am creating...  Nothing new this week.

I am going...  To work from 9-4, then a meeting for Religious Ed classes for my kids.

I am reading...  Still reading Debbie McComber's Cove Series.  I only read in my car during lunch time, so it takes awhile to get through the books.

I am hoping...  That the Rel. Ed. meeting tonight doesn't take to long.  I would love to be able to sit out tonight with the kids & DH, while we are having this beautiful weather.

I am hearing...  Just the hum of the computer & the frig.  TV is on, but the volume is down.  Love the quiet.

Around the house...  Need to finish some laundry & cook dinner.

One of my favorite things...  Listening to little kids around the age 3, talking.  They sound sooo adorable.

A few plans for the rest of the week...  Rel Ed. meeting tonight, J-bird has a game to cheer for Sat. morning.  Sun. J-Bird starts competition practice & BMX Kid has a baseball game.  Other then that, nothing but enjoying my DH & kids.

FOR TODAY:  Monday, Aug. 30, 2010

Outside my window:  The sun is rising & it is going to be a cloudy day.  The heat is coming back today, thru Thurs.  Ughhh.  So tired of this heat.  Ready for fall temps.
 
I am thinking:  About my good friend & her husband.  He is having open heart surgery Tues. & he is only 34 yrs old.  They had a major scare with him last Fri. morning.

I am thankful for:  My mother/her brother/her sister & husband, all making it to Myrtle Beach safely. 

From the learning rooms:  We are starting something new this year at home.  My kids have to go Religious Ed. classes on Wed. evening to become Catholic.  This is because they go to public schools.  I am going to start teaching them the Rel Ed here at home.  They will still have to go on Wed. evening because the Arch Bishop will not allow Rel Ed. to be a home school subject.  I really wish they would because I don't feel my kids are being taught correctly in the Rel Ed. classes.  So, I am going to have them go to their class then come to mind, another evening.  This is work in progress, right now.

From the kitchen:  Baked Spaghetti with Garlic Bread & Salad.  Yummo!!!

I am wearing:  T-shirt & shorts.

I am creating:  A curriculum for my kids Rel Ed. class here at home.

I am going:  Take the girls to school, to the store, then later pick my boy/his friend up from school & then the girls.  Later in the evening, need to take J-Bird to cheer practice.

I am reading:  Cedar Cove Series from Debbie McComber

I am hoping & praying:  That Hurrican Earl stays away from Myrtle Bch.  My mom & her family is there.  Also praying the my friends heart surgery is successful.

I am hearing:  The "Early Show" listening to the story about the young motorcycle rider that was killed this weekend in Indy.  Such a sad story.  My prayers go out to his family & to the other rider that hit him. 

Around the house:  Cleaning, laundry, cleaning, laundry.  Did I mention cleaning & laundry.  Monday's are my cleaning day.  Yuck.  Don't feel like doing it today.

One of my favorite things:  Watching my J-Bird cheer.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Tonight, cheer practice for J-Bird & baseball practice for BMX Kid.  Tues, J-Bird has tumbling practice.  Homework all week.  Wed. more baseball practice.  Thurs. going to make a roast in the crockpot & take it to my friend & her boys.  She is back & forth from the hospital.  Sat. & Sun. we will be spending the weekend at the BMX track.  BMX kid is racing in the Grand Nationals.  Woo hoo.
